[Almanacs. Extremely rare and fine binding] Almanach galant des costumes Français.
Des plus d'apres nature dédié au Beau Sexe. A.P.D.R. Paris, chez le Sr. Boulanger, (1782), (88) p., entirely engraved, with illustrated title page and 18 (partly erotic) full-page engravings by Queverdo (?), very finely bound by Boulanger using silver linchpins (with heads on the spine) in profusely gilt contemporary red morocco, back board with gilt-lettered text "Sa douceur me plait", with gilt chintz-paper endpapers, all edges gilt, 9.7 x 6 cm. (minimal imperfections, yet a very good copy).
No other copies for this year traced and only one other copy in WorldCat for 1780 (also with 88 p.). Complicated pagination, as usual with almanacs. The binder bound all 44 bifolia as one quire. This way, the first leaves consist of the title and the almanac for the first half of the year with the second half of the year only at the very end. The last leaf contains advertising for the publisher, "Boulanger Doreur sur Cuir et sur Soie", with a list of almanacs published by him and the remark: "Toutes ces fig. sont dessinéés et gravées par Mr. Queverdo dont les talens sont connus."
