Drawing in pen and brown ink, greywashed, after the right half of the painting by Gerard de Lairesse from c. 1680, 39 x 27 cm., with signature/ attribution "G. Edelinck" in pencil verso.
Lacks the left half. Also frayed/ with tears and damage in corners. Signature verso matches well with signatures found online. The painting by De Lairesse is located at the Rijkmuseum, an engraving exists by De Lairesse in reverse direction to the painting (Hollstein 67). Gerard Edelinck, important engraver of Flemish descent, worked in Paris from 1666 and became a French citizen in 1675.
