Toulon, Imprimerie Régionale Romain Liautaud, 1904, 100,(1) p., original wrapping, 4to. Lucien Napoléon Bonaparte Wyse (1844-1909), descendant of princess Letitia Bonaparte and Sir Thomas Wyse, was a sailor and explorer in central America, together with Armand Reclus. Received a concession on the channel in 1876 until 1889, when Ferdinand de Lesseps' attempts had to stop due to financial problems. In this important work, Lucien Wyse describes the various plans which existed to enable the channel at the time.
