Sm. 4to., modern half-cloth with mauve cartonnized sides, title engraving pasted on front cover, incl. 53 copper-engravings, such as the title and 11 verso illustrations with explanation. Stains in front and back, apart from that in reasonable condition. Giacomo Barozzio da Vignola was trained as a painter and an architect. He studied Antiquity in Rome , worked as a painter for the Vatican, and was one of the most influential Italian architects of 16th-cy Mannerism.
