Contains the following series of large prints on one leaf: 24 round engravings (17-21 cm. in diameter); 6 prints of ca. 10 x 25 cm.; 8 prints of ca. 15 x 23 cm.; 12 prints of ca. 21 x 18 cm.; 6 prints of ca. 31 x 18 cm.; and 2 prints of ca. 29 x 40 cm. (double-page). Furthermore 18 round prints (ca. 12 cm. in diameter) on 9 leaves and 60 prints in various rectangular sizes on 20 leaves, 10 prints (ca. 13 x 21 cm.) on 5 leaves on another 4 prints (ca. 10 x 21 cm.) on 2 leaves.
However, our copy has EXTRA prints: at the end two unnumbered double-page prints (ca. 28 x 40 cm.) and at the beginning a series of 30 numbered round prints, 18 of which with a diameter of ca. 13 cm. on 9 plates and 12 with a diameter of ca. 8 cm. on 2 leaves.
All in all an extraordinary and very rare collection of prints by Adam Pérelle (1638-1695) and according to some sources also by Gabriel Pérelle (1603-1677) and Nicolas Pérelle (1631-1695). Here as reissued by Pierre Fraçois Basan (1723-1797). Only several copies traced in libraries (incl. Paris and Royal Academy of Arts Library).
