The right-hand margin of the album has been exposed to damp on the inside (mostly at the beginning) and outside, staining and/or damaging a part of the pasted plates, the holders and the binding. Therefore sold w.a.f. Fine album, with mostly (series of) coloured and b/w picture postcards (incl. panorama cards (2x, 9 x 55.5 cm.), but also photos (incl. series of photos of ca. 10 x 14 cm. of Canton (12x), Macao (6x) and Shanghai (6x)). Notable are also original photos of a decapitation and of torture, and also several gruesome picture postcards with these subjects.
