[Miniature calligraphed AB-book] (Alphabet in capitals and lower case)
Calligraphed large alphabet followed by a small alphabet in pen and black ink on laid paper, presumably Netherlands, 18th century, in leporello (30x folded) with paper flap to open the leporello, folded in leather binding decorated with small circles within rectangular border line, with functioning copper clamp, ribbed back, height 2.3 cm.
The leather of the binding is slightly dry, else in perfect condition.
Beautiful miniature alphabet, of which we could not trace any other copies. Online a similar miniature book in leporello is offered, with the text of the Lord's Prayer. See: http://www.bromer.com/advSearchResults.php?action=search&orderBy=relevance&category_id=0&keywordsField=vader+Onze. The supplier dates his copy ca. 1700. The calligraphed letters and the remainder of the design of that book match with our copy, which raises the suspicion that the maker is the same.
