[Giacomo Philippo Tomasini] Iacobi Philippi Tomasini Patavini Illustrium Virorum Elogia
Iconibus exornata. Padua, Pasquardus & Socius, 1630, (16),373,(50) p., with engraved frontispiece and 47 full-page engraved portraits and woodcuts of coats of arms and medals in the text, 19th-century vellum, spine gilt with 3 morocco title shields, 4to.
Frontispiece cut short and with old owner's name; here and there slightly foxed/stained; vellum across hinges torn. Good copy.
A series of biographies of prominent persons from Padua. In this copy, the portrait of Rudolphus Sfortia on page 242 is covered with a portrait of Tycho Brahe. In the (remarkably large number of) copies digitised by Google the error has been corrected in the print itself, which means that here we probably have a very early copy from the first edition.
