Henry Miller (1891-1980). Manuscript picture postcard in pen to "Dear friends",
dated "11/22/63" and signed "Warm greetings! Henry Miller", with stamped new address of Miller (444 Ocampo Drive Pacific Palisades, California), post-paid, stamped and addressed to "Mr. Henri Braakenburg", 238 III Roosevelt Laan, Amsterdam, reverse with reproduction of the watercolour "Girl with Bird" by Miller himself (perforation holes, 1x through the signature).
The card was sent to announce Miller's new address. Miller indicates his wish to be in Paris for the filming of his Tropic of Cancer, which may lead him to visit the Netherlands. He concludes with: "Have made many watercolours this year."
With: another 2 (picture) postcards by the same (signed "Henry Miller") and to the same, 1x dated "7/18/55" in which he asks about the book specialisation of Braakenburg and 1x dated "10/20/59" in which he indicates having received the "bread boy" and his wish to have another one [see lot 522]. He also asks for the address of his Dutch translator ("Vanderburgh?") (both with inconvenient perforation holes).
