Here and there with small defects; top endpapers expertly renewed with contemporary paper (hinge on inside vulnerable). Good copy with owner's mark of J.A. Thiel in pen on the title page. Fine 4to edition of the famous "Temple of the Muses" by Michel de Marolles (1600-1681), of which the first edition appeared in Paris, 1655. The work was republished in a variety of translations and sizes in 1663, 1666, 1667, 1733, 1742, 1749, 1768 and 1769.
