5 volumes in two bindings of this first edition of the famous biography of Turenne by Ramsay. Turenne became captain in the army of Frederick Henry of Nassau and eventually Marshal of France. According to Napoleon, one would do well to make an intense study of Turenne's "campaigns" as they were unparalleled in the 17th century. Bindings scratched, interior very good.
