[Rare Alkmaar prize binding] Institutiones Linguae Graecae, Olim quidem scriptae

à Nicolao Clenardo, Nunc autem ab erroribus multis expurgatae (...) Gerardi Jo. Vossii. Editio novissima (...) ac Indice Graeco, & Latine auctior. Amsterdam, J. Janssonius, 1650, (6),(2 blank), 753 [=375] p., with woodcut printer's mark on the title, contemporary vellum with the arms of Alkmaar and motto "Praemium Diligentiae" and corner ornaments on both boards.

Partly waterstained, lacks ties. Good copy with scattered manuscript owner's marks: "Given to me by Mrs. Prince Anno Domini 163", "Ex libris Johan Crake 1695", "John Clarke 1767" and "(...) gekocht 10 stuyvers Johannes Haldermonde (?)". Copy in a special, relatively early Alkmaar prize binding. Moreover a very rare edition: no copies in PiCarta, though several in foreign libraries. PiCarta does include, for example, an edition published by Janssonius in 1655 and an Elzevier edition from 1651, and several other titles edited by Vossius and published by Janssonius in 1650.
