Somewhat thumbed copy, with repeated owner's names (Joseph Crosswaite, 1901) in pen and here and there a small stamp/annotation; frontispiece waterstained, spine and endpapers renewed. (2). The Little Botanist; or Steps to the attainment of botanical knowledge. By Caroline A. Halsted. The illustrations drawn and engraved by J.D. Sowerby, from sketches by the authoress. London etc., J. Harris etc., 1835, 2 volumes, (2),XIV, 243; VI,271,(1) p., each volume with hand-coloured, lithographed frontispiece, with a total of 26 lithographed plates, original uniform half leather, square small 8vo (vol. 2 first quire tender and a few other small defects). And with 1 more (separate volume) (total 3 in 4 volumes).
