Jan Mammen (1899-1978). Lot with 14 prints and 12 drawings,
varying in size from 22.5 x 15 to 31.5 x 33 cm., partly signed and partly dated (incl. very early works).
From the archive of the artist himself, with defects such as thumbtack holes, leaves often slightly soiled, tanned etc. Contains e.g. several nice combinations of original study with the subsequent print after it, such as: (1) Two quick cyclists (drawing in black chalk and pencil and a linocut); (2) Two birds on a branch (signed drawing in black chalk and 3 prints of the etching, 1 of which signed); (3) Portrait of Feo the dog, 1922 (drawing in black chalk and pencil and two pencil-heightened prints of the etching of which one signed). Furthermore several linocuts of animals and drawn animal studies in various techniques (two dated "januari 1914") (total 26).
