At the end of the 18th century, especially in the 1770s and 1780s, the Gazette de Leyde was one of the leading political newspapers in the western world. Published entirely in French and with an extensive Dutch and international readership.
2 volumes. Small 4to, red morocco, uniformly bound, title on spine in red, black and gilt stamping, boards with embroidery in gilt stamping, marbled endpapers and altogether more than 600 unnumbered pages.
