Contains among other things interesting accounts regarding the Aceh rebels and many entries regarding daily routines. The entries are signed by J. le Cocq d'Armanville, R.H. Clarkson, Van Feijn and others. The title page is signed by Commandant Schnetzer (?) and added by him at Lampenerut op 2 November 1886, with the annotation that he foliated the work and provided it with his initials, something his predecessor had neglected to do. Each page is therefore numbered by him with his initials near the number.
