Handwritten translation of the Latin Boek van de Nederlandsche apotheek. W.J. van de Cop was a doctor in the armies of Napoleon and William I, student of the famous surgeon Larey. He became Apotheker 2e klasse at the Rijks magazijn der Geneesmiddelen and later 1e klasse at the Garnizoen at Breda. On reverse a typed message from Hendrik Rijnders in Eunice, New Mexico, in which he indicates that W.J. van de Cop was a cousin of his great-grandfather.
