Manuscript notes Abraham de Vries, Historiae Naturalis, 1832

'Historiae Naturalis' (titled on first leaf above text). 92 pp. (on each page handnumbered in top right corner) in contemporary cased wrapper, 8vo. The text contains Regnum animalium (p. 1-61), regnum vegetabile (p. 63-89) and final leaf with recipe. At the beginning written in a neat, tight hand, in the middle several schematic subdivisions, towards the end slightly more irregular. Inside front cover with date 1832 and attribution to Abraham de Vries, probably the Amsterdam lawyer Abraham de Vries Jzn. (1817-1879).

At the end some inkstaining in the text, spine wrapper worn, else good.
