Three various manuscripts: (1) "Dagboek van C.J. Reijnhout a/b "Hrms" Torp.b. jager Vos.
Korpl. Bottelier". Manuscript, 12 March 1914 up to and including Monday 15 April 1917, 51 [= 49],(2) lined p. (and 15 blank p.), contemporary cardboard with cloth back, covered with on front the aforementioned title, small folio (traces of use).
Interesting daily account, mostly drawn up in Indonesian waters. Initially the entries are short (weather conditions, meals), but the author becomes progressively more detailed. The destroyer Vos departs on Thursday 12 March 1914 from Nieuwendiep, on Tuesday 17 March the ship enters Vigo, where a large tear in the deck is repaired. The journey continues via Catania, Port-Said and Colomo, after which the ship arrives at Ambon on Sunday 13 September and at Surabaya. Thereafter the ship remains in Indonesian waters. Various other ships are mentioned, such as the Panter, the Tromp, the De Ruyter and the Vondel. Each year, the author notes his wife's birthday on 2 October and his daughter's birthday on 4 October. The entries suddenly stop on Monday 15 April 1917. With 2 more: an account book drafted in Indonesia, late 19th century, and "Liederen en gebeden verzameld door mijn grootmoeder Rosalie van der Zon Brouwer-Oudhoff 7 april 1852 - 23 juni 1936".
