Craig, 2x title with vignette; the first volume with extra frontispiece with title and allegorical scene, (2),790 and 885 pp. + appendix; 93 (of 106) handcoloured copper engravings; mostly of flowers and plants and several engravings of garden construction. Lacks one plate; the other 12 missing plates all in copper engraving and handcoloured, added in gilt frame in mount under glass. Engravings by Dixon, Dobie, Swift, Campbelle et al. Bookplate C. Robert Bignold. Bindings with minor damage, boards tender and rubbed. Prints with very lovely colouring. Good set. Nissen 754. (total 2 books and 12 framed prints)
