Soiled copy falling apart, paper across spine missing (sellotape replaces joints). We assume this concerns the first edition from 1810, only known to PiCarta due to Saakes but with indication "unavailable". PiCarta lists two copies of the 1814 edition, to which 6 plates were added (possible reason for reissue) but otherwise exactly the same as our edition. Our copy bears no traces of possibly removed plates; (2) Versjes voor kinderen, by T. Raven, Hz. "Te Koevorden, bij D.H. van der Scheer, 1851", 28,(2) p., original printed wrapper, small 8vo. Contents slightly tender, wrapper waterstained and the thin blue paper loose from holder. Extremely rare, no copies in PiCarta. With lovely old owner's name on inside front cover: "E. Groot. Oud 7 jaar 1852.". With another 6 similar (illustrated) vols. with collected poems for children, incl. several editions not listed in PiCarta, published by W. Brave and D. Allart. (total 8)
