Three very rare titles: (1) Uit de school en uit het huisgezin.

(c. 1868), 128 p., with 4 coloured/ tinted lithographic plates (incl. a lovely view of the Academiegebouw in Leiden), contemporary green halfmorocco with gilt back, small 4to (stamped bookplate "A.L.B." on the half title).

With pasted, folding, pre-printed school prize of the Schoolcommissie der gemeente Gouda, awarded in pen to C.M.G. Grootendorst, student at the Openbare Burgerschool voor Meisjes, dated 11 December 1868. Extremely rare title, no other copies traced, also none in PiCarta; (2) De nieuwe omnibus (...) door Oom Diederik. Met vier platen. Ibid., idem, n.d. (c. 1867), (6),132 p., with 4 coloured/ tinted lithographic plates, uniformly bound with the previous, small 4to. With school prize similar to the one in (1), dated 26 July 1867. Very rare. PiCarta lists one copy, dated 1869 based on a school prize dated 3 July 1869 (this copy digitised and available online). Our copy proves that this book was published at least several years earlier; (3) Vermaak er u meê. Een drietal leerzame vertellingen voor kinderen. Met gekleurde platen. Amsterdam, D.H. Fikkert, n.d. (1848), 71,(1) p., with 4 handcoloured, tinted lithographic plates, original gilt and blindstamped cloth. With pasted pre-printed school prize of the Amsterdamse Openbare Tusschenschool, awarded to J.H.R. Leuvestein, dated 1865. (total 3)
