Lovely lot with rare prizes and several rare titles. Incl.: (1) Het uitstapje naar Utrecht, of vier verhalen op reis. Geschenk voor de Jeugd, met plaatjes. Amsterdam, J. Allart Rietberg, 1837, (2),II,79 p., with lithographed title and 3 plates, original printed wrapper (slightly worn and shaky). With pre-printed prize filled out by hand for P.J.R. Drijfhout van Hoof, dated Amersfoort 1837; (2) Ernstige en luimige verhalen in tafereelen voor het opkomende geslacht door C.M.D.E. [= Catharina Maria Doll Egges]. Amsterdam, G. Portielje, 1828, (4),169,(3) p., with aquatint title and 2 plates, contemporary halfcloth. With folding, printed prize for S. Rahé filled out by hand and dated Amsterdam 1829 by Van der Vijver; (3) Vaderlandsche lettervruchten voor jongelingen en meisjes; bijeenverzameld door N. Swart. The Hague, S. de Visser, 1823, VI,278 p., contemporary halfleather, gilt back with morocco letterpiece. With pre-printed prize of the School van het Haagse departement Tot Nut van 't Algemeen, in handwriting awarded to J.P. Irinus van Hemert. The lot also contains a school prize of the Gemeente- Gymnastiek-, Scherm- en Dansschool in Haarlem (1867), a prize binding of the Stedelijke Vaderlandsche School in Middelburg and 3 prize bindings with the arms of Amsterdam.
