Engraved map with coloured outlines by Daniël Veelwaard Jr., Amsterdam, Mortier, Covens en Zoon, 1840, 32.5 x 32.5 cm., printed on cloth, with decorative title and legend in top corners, folded in the original cardboard slipcase with printed letterpiece, 11 x 6 cm.

Thumbtack holes in blank corners, very light foxing, else very good. Very rare map, not in IKAR and WorldCat lists only 2 copies. Its publication was mentioned at the time in various newspapers of 15 July 1840, the Algemeen Handelsblad added: "Op doek gedrukt en in etui f. 0,75." "Die van de andere Provincien van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden zijn op dezelfde schaal door hen [Mortier, Covens en Zoon] uitgegeven."
