[Germany. Banks of the Rhine] "Rechtes Ufer" and "Linkes Ufer".
Two series of steel-engraved profiles, no place or publisher, c. 1850, two series each consisting of 29 loose, numbered and connecting strips with captions, 3.7 x c. 27 cm. (image dimensions, leaf dimensions somewhat varying) (somewhat foxed).
The result of a remarkable enterprise to depict the bank of the Rhine from Drusustein to Koblenz (left bank, stream direction to the right) and from Castel to Pfaffendorf (right bank, stream direction to the left). When connected, the steel engravings each have a length of nearly 8 metres. Added two unnumbered strips incl. a profile of Cologne. (total 60)
