[Paris] 2 works in 1 volume: (1) Collection des principaux monumens et vues de Paris.
(2) Collection des principaux monumens et vues des environs de Paris. Paris, Alph. Giroux, n.d. (c. 1840), two entirely engraved works: (1) title page, plan and 93 plates numbered 0-92; (2) title page and 13 plates, plates engraved by Dureau after Santi, Hedouin, Chazal et al., original (?) halfmorocco, gilt and ribbed back with gilt-lettered "Paris" and the publisher's name (also the bindery?), front board with morocco letterpiece "Paris", oblong large 8vo.
Occ. sl. foxed. Hinges torn in, outer corners of boards bumped. Very good copy with very wide margins. Our address with address of Giroux printed on a strip pasted across the original address (of Vallardi in Paris and Colnaghi in London, c. 1825). We traced a copy of that edition with 71/12 plates. Very rare in any edition, of our edition we traced no other copies. Beautiful, refined and lively views.
