[Rare travel guide Maaskamp] Itinéraire du royaume des Pays-Bas.
Ouvrage indispensable pour les voyageurs et orné de cartes. Première partie. Contenant les provinces septentrionale. Seconde partie. Contenant les provinces méridionales. Amsterdam, E. Maaskamp, 1828/1827, 2 parts in one volume, VIII,349,(1); VIII,201 p., with 2 large folding, engraved maps and with large folding, engraved stedenwijzer, original gilt-lettered cardboard with later cloth back, 12mo.
Poor copy. The folding maps with small tears (repaired with paper). Boards tender and worn. Sold w.a.f. Interesting copy: on pages 138, 239 and 248 of part 1 letterpress strips with information on hotels in the same type have been pasted, possibly updates added to specific copies by the publisher. We consider it unlikely that a private owner cut the strips from another book in order to provide for these additions. The strips do not appear in any digitised versions.
