1669-1809, all bound untrimmed in 19th-century halfcloth with paper title label to spine, 4to.
A few sl. waterstained/ affected by damp and frayed, a few with contemporary or later annotations in manuscript. Cloth across upper hinge torn (lower hinge trifle torn in). Large collection, mostly related to taxes, e.g. on butter, servants, "hoorn-geld van het bestiael", horses, "soete koek en ander gebak", tobacco, turf, fishing, salt, "commercie, navigatie en marine", "veer- of passagie geld", "gebrande wijnen en gedistilleerde wateren", and the 50th and 100th penning. Also related to e.g. "excessen en geweldenaryen", mad dogs, poor relief, the weighing house and "vrijheid, gelijkheid, broederschap". The ensemble present a splendid image of Utrecht tax measures for merchants and service providers over the course of more than two centuries. (total ± 100 in one vol.)
