Binding with damage, spine and first quire tender, ann. to endpapers in ink and pencil, last endpaper with damage. Older auction description pasted to first endpaper. Complete and very scarce. Jean de Coras taught law at the university of Toulouse. He was an early Protestant, a colourful and popular figure. He was murdered in the aftermath of the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre of 1572 in Paris.
