[Fans] Fan with painted paper leaf and bone ribs

Probably Dutch, c. 1800, the paper leaf painted in gouache in shades of grey, front with central scene of a man and a woman in a landscape inside borders in the shape of flower tendrils, reverse with modest floral decoration, with 18 (of 19) bone ribs alternately painted black and unpainted, outer ribs painted with geometrical pattern in b/w and partly carved, width 45 cm and height 27 cm.

Lacks 1 black rib and the two outer ribs on the right-hand side have broken off at the hinge (bottom part of outer rib missing); the outer rib (with small label) also starting from the leaf; the leaf with a few small tears to folds and traces of adhesion to left-hand side. Despite the defects an attractive fan, possibly a mourning fan. Added: mourning fan, entirely lacquered in black with wooden ribs. (total 2)
