Ab excessu Carili V. Imp. usq; ad initium Praefecturae Alexandri Farnesii Parmae Placentiaeque Ducis III. Famiani Stradae Romani. Johannis Beyer, Frankfurt am Main, 1651. Small 4to, calf binding, blindstamped, 2 metal clamps with locks. Title on spine in red ms. [erroneously 1551 instead of 1651].

Illustrated frontispiece with the title and Leo Belgicus (18.5 x 14 cm.), title page with printer's mark in woodcut, (5),778,(101),(3) pp., 27 portraits (several signed by Franc. de Bruin) and 28 battles and sieges in copper engraving; also numerous head- and tailpieces and several woodcut capitals. Incorrectly dated 1678 instead of 1578 on the title page [Ad Annum 1678. continuatae ...]. Blindstamped bookplate, title page with several names in ms. Text somewhat tanned, various (water) stains, brown stain to back board. Scarce German printing with Latin text. Good copy.
