[Finely printed and bound] Convolute of 4 titles from 1537,
all very finely uniformly printed in Paris by Joannes Kerbriand, in red and black in the same, splendid small type with 4 woodcut title borders and initials, and letterpress hands in red, attractive contemporary binding in stamped calf with ribbed back and two tooled copper clamps, small 8vo (16 x 11.5 cm.).
Carefully restored convolute; reset in binding (boards previously loose); clamps provided with new leather; some wear to spine ends and corners of boards. Small hole to flyleaf. The convolute contains 4 rare titles: (1) Sext(us) decretalium liber, per Bonifaciu octavum pontificem (...). LXXVIII,(2) leaves, with 1 full-page illustration. Waterstaining to lower corner at the beginning; (2) Clementinarium constitutionem liber (...). XXXVI leaves; (3) Extravagantes communes, a diversis Romanis pontificibus post Sextu(s) edite (...). XLIII leaves; (4) Extravagantes seu constitutiones viginti: a Joanne XXII edite (...). XX leaves.
