Plas, illustrated frontispiece in copper engraving (of the Anatomical Theatre in Leiden), title with printer's mark in woodcut, (10),761,(16),(2) pp. and 84 full-page copper engravings [I-LXVII, A-H and AA-II]. The third edition of this often-reprinted, finely illustrated treatise on human anatomy. The frontispiece depicts a cutting session at the famous Leiden anatomical theatre, with the skeletons actually belonging to the summer set-up, when no cutting took place due to the heat. The last 2 pages contain an interesting catalogue of all medical books available at Ten Hoorn.
