Paper theatre with figures
French (?) theatre, c. 1840, consisting 4 sides and a ceiling of a prison and 5 or 6 different sets of altogether more than 125 figures (some still attached with strips) incl. 27 Chinese figures, 3 armies, varying in size (all ± 20 figures) and celebrities with entourage (incl. Mary Stuart, the Marquis de Carabas and B. Cellini). Height of figures ± 5.5 to 7.5 cm., mostly placed on stick.
