56 shadow puppets from various sets, c. 1850. Mostly published by Scholz Mainz (legible on several pictures). With the book Lantaarn-plaatjes en hoe ze te maken! by C.J.S. Publ. by Geïllustreerd Maandschrift "Lux", 2nd printing, M.M. Olivier, Amsterdam, 1891.

Lot consisting of 13 historical figures; 12 human types incl. a beggar, angel, priest and farmer, Monsieur Cryptogame; 4x publ. New Shadow Pictures (man and animal); 12 animals; 8 army figures and 7 various others incl. 2 early-19th-century figures (1808 vaguely legible) and a Satan figure. Two figures on postcard stamped 1878 cut out, one French card, several homemade.
