addressed to J.G. van Niftrik "Oud-Stads-Ingenieur te Amsterdam", dated 5 October 1906, in response to Van Niftrik's critical comments [as phrased in a letter of 25 June 1906], in pen on recto of four A4-sized sheets with letterhead "Jac. Ph. Wormser Architect Sierkunstenaar" [Amsterdam address crossed out and replaced with "Hilversum"], with the original postmarked and stamped envelope and the short, initially temporary manuscript reply from Wormser to Van Niftrik's letter on stationery of P. Vorkink and Jac. P. Wormser, dated 27 June 1906.
Jacques Wormser (1878-1935) was an architect, graphic designer, interior designer and furniture designer. Jacobus Gerhardus van Niftrik (1833-1910) was a Dutch engineer, president of the Maatschappij tot Bevordering der Bouwkunst and city engineer of Amsterdam from 1864 to 1901.
