[Slavery] Deed of sale for a slave at Batavia

Deed in which has been recorded that Hercules van Kadjang, a 'Man Slave', is no longer the possession of Jan Baptist Muller, but now belongs to Reinier de Fellietar Bousquet. The deed has been drawn up and signed by Abraham Bussingh, 'Openbaar Notaris bij de Hooge Regering van Nederlands Indië', who is a witness to the sale and of the legitimacy of the property based on an 'Extract uit het Register der Lijfeigenen boven de acht Jaren'. 8 December 1828.
