at Batavia. Extract from the letter by J.P. van Braam on behalf of the Raad van Indiën, to Van Stralen at The Hague concerning the finances of the late Governor-General Jacob Mossel (1704-1761), which apparently required a decision by HM the King. The letter was sent in February 1819 and received in August 1819. 19 x 23 cm with 2 folds. 22 manuscript lines written on one side.
It appears that the addressee holds a position of influence, and the sender hopes to make good use of this influence.
