Giovanni Vincenzo Gravina (1664-1718), Italian jurisconsult, member of the Academy of Arcadians, professor of civil and canon law at the college of La Sapienza. Although A. Taillander (in Hoefer XXI, p. 750-754) states that the complete work was published between 1701 and 1713, this edition contains the three parts as mentioned on the title-p. Cf. Lipenius III, 2787, where this ed. is given as the first complete edition of Gravina's principal work. (2) C. Ziegler.
