[Paper] Album containing over 50 lvs. of laid paper, ca. 1800

All lvs. measuring 27 x 13 cm, a number of the lvs. w. watermark dep. a running stag, opposed to lvs. w. watermark depicting a coat-of-arms with intertwined monogram "CM", orig. vellum w. ties, narrow oblong folio.

The blank lvs. in an album that was first used as a book for manuscript quittances, with French and Dutch language entries on ca. 40 pages, dated "Louvain 20 8bre 1821" to "Bemboursé ce 18 mai 1850". In the 1950s (but also with some later additions), the larger part the album was used as photo-album/ album amicorum, apparently by a female artist. It contains num. mounted/ loosely inserted photographs, printed ephemera such as entry-tickets, some drawings, dried flowers, etc.
