Fontana, collection of 11 original b/w pictures

featuring portraits of the artist and documentation of his work, all from the late 1960s. Most pictures are made by Ad Petersen. Petersen (1931-2021) was curator at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam from 1960 until 1990. During the course of his career he captured the artworld in his signature pictures. He photographed Fontana and his work in 1968 during his exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum. Some pictures were published in the catalogue.

Included are 5 portraits of the artist, 2 stamped Petersen on verso. One picture shows Petersen holding hands with Fontana in front of his work in the Stedelijk. A rather puzzling picture features Fontana observing a lady holding a glass of beer while putting a cigarette box in a wooden shoe. There are 6 documentation pictures, some with stamps of Petersen on verso. Sizes vary from 24 x 18 cm to 13.5 x 19 cm. (total 11)
