Joe Jones, Solar Music at Sierksdorf Ostsee, early morning Sunday, 1 April 1984

2nd Anniversary (Solar Music). Blue plastic ringbinder, 22.5 x 19 x 3.5 cm. Contains 8 transparent sleeves holding a title page stamped on tracing paper and 7 b/w photographs mounted on black paper, plus an audiocassette attached by elastic band to the interior of the rear cover. The title page is stamped and signed 'Joe Jones' and numbered 'AP 2/5'. The cassette wrapper and the tape label are titled 'Solar Music #17', and are both signed 'Joe Jones' and numbered 'A.P. 2/5'. The front cover of the binder and the cassette wrapper feature a small mounted original b/w photograph.

This stunning artists' multiple was produced in a limited edition of 15 signed and numbered copies by Edition Hundertmark in 1984; this copy derives from the artists' proof edition of 5. Scarce item in near mint condition. Joe Jones (1934 New York – 1993 Wiesbaden) was an American avant-garde musician associated with Fluxus, and especially known for his creation of experimental music machines.
