Softcover, cardboard wrappers bound with tape, 21 x 29.5 cm, unpag. ca. 200 pp. Contains (original) collages, inserts, photocopies, typescripts, leaflets on various types of paper. Texts in English and Polish. The artists' book was initiated by a group of Polish artists' organizing underground independent international artists' events. It was made in the aftermath of 'Construction in Process', an influential exhibition curated by Wasko in Lodz in 1981.
Fabryka's amazing list of contributors includes: Sol Lewitt, Lawrence Weiner, Taka Iimura, Tomasz Konart, Antoni Mikolajczyk, Dóra Maurer, Pawel Kwiek, Kazuo Katase, Maurizio Nannucci, Fred Sandback, Les Levine, Richard Nonas, Paul Sharits, Peter Downsbrough, Aleksander Honory, Waclaw Ropiecki and many others. This copy is signed by Antoni Mikolajczyk, and dedicated to Paul Panhuysen, who organized many underground Polish exhibitions at the Apollohuis in Eindhoven in the 1980s. Light toning on top edge of wrapper, else a near mint copy. Scarce, copies found in collection of Stedelijk Museum/De Appel Amsterdam and Kandinsky library Paris.
