Tomasz Konart, 8 artists' books

Six booklets from a 1983 series titled 'T.' and two copies from 'Tractatus Chaoticus' (1984). Staple-bound, 20.5 x 14.5 cm, 8 pp. Brown packing paper wrappers, with stamped title on front and artist information/date on back. Contains mostly xeroxed sheets, with some collage elements, handwritten text and original photos. All copies are numbered in pencil from editions of 100 and 200.

The T. series comprises T1 (Intersubjective Investigations in collaboration with Iwona Lemke), T2 (Film for Birds), T3, T4 (collage with paint, photo and stamps), T5 and T7. The Tractatus Chaoticus series comprises No.1 (Air Catching) and No.2. (total 8) Tomasz Konart (Warsaw 1955) was active in the Polish neo-avant-garde movement of the 70s and 80s working with film, video, installation, and photography. He was a co-founder of Group T in Lodz and Gallery P.O. Box 17 in Warsaw.
