Some sl. foxing and the usual offsetting of the ills. to opposite textp. Lacks backwr. (w. advert not by Louber) and binding raffia (now stapled); frontwr. lacks portion of upper r. corner, w. folds and rust stains from staples, and together w. first blank page loose. Lou Loeber (1894-1983), painter and illustrator in an abstract-figurative and non-figurative style. In the year Gouden Vlinders appeared, she travelled to Bauhaus in Dessau and to Berlin. Her illustrations for Gouden Vlinders show a similarity to the work of Bart van der Leck, who was her neighbour in Blaricum.
