Archive of the Van Amerongen family
Mainly concerning Antonie and Gerrit Jan van Amerongen, wood merchants in Wijk bij Duurstede, mainly late 19th/ early 20th cent. but also incl. earlier and sl. later documents, comprising notarial documents, quittances, due bills, documents concerning the "Wijksche Bank", letters, telegrams, 4 shares of the Paleis voor Volksvlijt in Amsterdam (issued 1869), newspapers, "kadastrale extracten gebr. Van Amerongen", diplomas, etc.
A few items: (1) Notarial ownership deed for the Van Amerongen family, dated 21 October 1867, of "Houtzaagmolen De Zonnewijzer" (built in 1801, burnt down in 1912) and several houses in Wijk bij Duurstede. (2) A placard concerning the public sale of the right of rent of an "Arbeiderswoning en hoveniersland te Wijk bij Duurstede" (1849). (3) Documents concerning the mentioned public sale after it took place. (4) Heritage calculation for Neeltje van Rees, the wife of Antonie van Amerongen, after the death of her mother. (5) The appointment of Antonie as municipal counselor of Wijk bij Duurstede. (6-7) Two folded vellum notarial deeds concerning Wijk bij Duurstede, dated 1708 (lacking the seals) and 1805 (w. attached wax seal in wooden case). (8) Folded notarial deed concerning Scherpenzeel, dated 1787 (w. attached wax seal). (total: all items in 1 box)
