Collection of 22 Dutch manuscript documents 1550-1860
Comprising 14 documents on vellum, partly concerning a house in the Hoogstraat in The Hague, partly w. attached wax seals (incl. some documents attached to each other), the other 8 documents on paper, var. sizes, kept in tin box. Contains a.o. notarial documents on a house in the Hoogstraat in The Hague, incl.: (1) Notarial document on the auction of "Een modern, hegt, sterk en weldoortimmerd huijs en erve voorzien van zeer propre en spatieuse vertrekken zoo behangen en met spiegels en schilderijen boven de schoorsteen (...) staande ende geleegen aan de oostzijde van de Hoogstraat en uytkoomende aan de westzijde van het Buijtenhoff alhier (...)". Ten pages on folio-sized paper, with conditions and details of the public sale that took place on 15 January 1767, the estate sold for 9500 guilders by the heirs of Joan van Gybelant (1684-1766, schout and baljuw of Wassenaar and Zuidwijk) to Benjamin de Flouw (1724-1812). (2-8) Seven notarial documents, one on vellum and four on paper, almost certainly concerning the same house and/ or surrounding houses in the Hoogstraat, dated 1792, 1794, 1796, 1810, 1822 (2x) and 1848, 4x mentioning the name of Georg Daniel Augstbourguer as owner, the later documents indicating the house as Oostzijde Hoogstraat Wijk E no. 355. The older vellum documents are dated 1550 (attached to a separate document dated 1584, w. (dam.) seals), 1561 (attached to a separate document dated 1571, w. (dam.) seals), 1622, w. (dam. seals), 1655 (3x), 1656 and 1710.
