[Belgium] Visitation book of various monasteries
located mostly in what is now Belgium, 1605-1742. Contemp. vellum, folio. Manuscript in Latin on paper w. approx. 500 folio lvs, also incl. a small amount of printed lvs and a few lvs w. paper covered seals. Entries in chronological order; the first entry dated 1605, the final one 1742 (w. loosely inserted Dutch language quire dated 1771 at the end). Very interesting visitation book, a register of domains of the Catholic Church (Minorites) in "Germania Inferioris". Some place names: Antwerp, Brussels, Boetendael, Roermond, Louvain, Malines and Ghent. Some names of priests: Guilielmus van Sichen, Jacobus de Riddere, Josephus van Dorne, Franciscus Maria Rhini a Politio, Guilielmus Herinx, Petrus Marchant, Cosmas Meermans, Cornelis de Vroom, Conradus Graven, Reinerus Paijes, Petrus Marinus Sormarius, Marcus Zarzosa, Bonaventura Poëry, Franciscus Sanguessa, Matthaus a Pareta and Benjamin Elbel.
A few lvs loose, a number of protruding lvs frayed at fore-edge, some sm. other internal and external defects/ imperfections.
