Bifolium, 43 x 29.5 cm, 3 p., dated 'fait a Versailles le dix huit mars mil sept cent quarante sept' (28 March 1747), countersigned by the French secretary of state M.-P. de Voyer de Paulmy, Comte d'Argenson (1696-1764) and w. some other signatures, extensively filled-out in pen in var. hands.
Folded, a bit dust-soiled and stained, w. some sm. holes and repaired tears on folds. Interesting document, issued during the War of the Austrian succession, listing the 'Chemin que tiendra le second Battaillon du regt. d'Infanterie de Bonac de composé de dix sept Comp.s. pour aller a Giver' (from the generalities Metz, Chalon and Haunault), accompanied by signed notes of mayors and other officials of the cities. On the third page, 36 captains and lieutenants are listed, above two higher ranked officers, each w. remark 'absent' or 'present'.
