Early 20th cent., most likely 1930s. Two albums, each w. approx. 50 tipped-in gelatin silver prints, most 16 x 21 cm, one album w. printed captions. Most likely English and related to the Royal Air Force (RAF), as almost all photos are aerial views, several photos show RAF bases/ camps or military airplanes and 1 photo incl. RAF stamp on verso. Photos of a.o. African wildlife (water buffalo, zebras, ostriches, giraffes, antelopes,, etc.), Suakin (Sawakin, Sudan), topographical views, an RAF camp at Wadi Shau, Mongalla, Malakal, Khartoum, Omdurmán, Wadi Halfa, Abu Simbel, the Temple of Philea, Luxor, var. pyramids (incl. at Giza), Cairo, Entebbe and Marchison and Kippon Falls.
